Trivesh & Asharia, captured by Media King
What does it take to create a 15 minute cinematic montage wedding video? In this case, it took 21 hours of shooting, 400 clips of video, 62 hours of editing, and multiple versions of songs to get this beautiful video together.
The Mehndi Night
Our evening started by arriving at the Maharani Hotel where the venue was already beautifully setup by the creative team of Lifestyle Decor. MC Naren Maharaj welcomed all guests and introduced the couple to stage. The evening was full with fun, laughter and entertainment. Leona Dean Dance Academy put on a spectacle of performance and kept the guests entertained. Asharia and Trivesh had smiles all through the evening.
The Hurdee
Set at Durban ICC was the joint hurdee ceremony of Trivesh & Asharia. Their mandap was creatively personalised by the team of Lifestyle Decor. Acoustic Avenue in conjunction with Bollywood Live Showband ensured the very best of entertainment for the guests while Trivesh and Asharia, with the help of Ravin & Seema Haripersadh, had their hurdee applied by their families. MC Senzo Mthetwa led the order of events and Leona Dean Dance Academy took the evening away. Asharia made her debut on stage with the professional dancers and she sure put on a brilliant performance, which was ofcourse most appreciated by Trivesh.
The Wedding
What's a wedding without documenting all the preparations that go before hand? Our day started with their dressing at Trivesh and Asharia's home. We were so chuffed at their willingness to work with us for what ever creative shots we had in mind. Both Asharia and Trivesh executed their poses with such grace that it was so hard to choose the perfect shots for their video. Upon arriving at one of the most magnificent decor sets at the Durban ICC, we were in awe with the glitz and glamour that Lifestyle Decor had arranged for this wedding to take place. Families gathered and the wedding ceremony led by MC Varshan Sookhun began. The couple with their families walked down one of the most biggest isles we've ever seen, and they sure enjoyed every second of it. Regardless of the massive venue, all eyes were on stage witnessing the coming together of this couple. Sasha from Sugar Coated Cakes arranged an absolutely gorgeous cake that was suspended from the ceiling, a feature that was so unique and added a special touch to all the glitz and glamour.
The Bidaai
The word Bidaai literally means "Farewell". Asharia's family hosted their Bidaai night at the Coastlands Umhlanga, beautifully set up by Nikita from Partyouz. Usually a bitter sweet moment for both the families, this event was nothing short of Bitter. The evening was all about fun and entertainment. Family members got to share words of sentiment for the respective couples, and the guests were treated to good food prepared by the hotel, and live entertainment from the band 2 Unique. What's a celebration without dance? The couple shared their first dance together and the guests soon followed. This evening was sure to set new found memories between the families, and a celebration of the coming together of Trivesh and Asharia after many months of planning.
We thank the families for their immense hospitality and wish this couple all the best for their future together as husband and wife.
